This check from Richard Patrick & Co. is an example of those where the check was printed at the same time and in the same color as the revenue imprint by the American Phototype Company. The extra printing of "GOLD" in red probably added to the cost, but someone went to the trouble of stamping the word on the check by hand anyway.
