Woodworth & Son of Rocehster, New York used two denominations of private die stamps. The one-cent was issued from March, 1872 until March 10, 1883. 2,552,000 were issued on silk paper and 4,453,703 on pink and watermarked papers. This one is on watermarked paper.
The two-cent stamps were issued from late 1877 through February 7, 1883. Only 285,110 were printed, on silk, pink and watermarked papers. The copy above is on watermarked paper.
